Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid and its sodium (sodium ascorbate), calcium and potassium salts are used in the food industry as E300 — E305 antioxidants that prevent product oxidation.

Vitamin C is used in cosmetics to slow down aging, to heal and restore the protective functions of the skin, in particular, to restore moisture and elasticity of the skin after exposure to sunlight. In the composition of creams it is also introduced to lighten the skin and fight against age spots
